Details

From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i586; en-US; rv:1.0.0+) Gecko/20020501 BuildID: 2002050210 In build 2002050210 and 2002050207 (the last build that I've tested that wfm is 2002050110) anything that tries to open a new window (not including the original window that appears when Mozilla initially launches) fails in that no new window opens. Moreover, after trying to open a new window and then exiting Mozilla the original window will close but the Mozilla processes will remain in memory and have to be killed off by hand. Actions that don't work include launching mail/news, new browser window, addressbook, composer, link that opens new window, etc. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Launch Mozilla 2. Do something that requires that a new window be opened Actual Results: Nothing happens except Mozilla processes won't unload after you exit the browser. (It's as if a Shrodinger's Cat window was opened, it's there but it isn't.) Expected Results: New window should open
Can you please try a new profile ? (run "mozilla -profilemanager" and create an additional test profile Do you build yourself or do you use a mozilla.org build ? )
I'm only using mozilla.org builds, however ... I created a new profile as you suggested and that seems to have fixed the problem. (I must admit that the profile I was using was ancient and crufty.) Marking invalid.
