All of the web pages seem to have on the footer: Copyright 1998-2002 The Mozilla Organization. Now firstly, how can the mozilla organisation claim to hold the copyright of anything, since it is a subdivision of AOLTW, and not a legal entity. Don't you mean Copyright 1998-2002 AOL-TW? And secondly, how can authority be claimed over all of the site in this way? I don't recall having signed any copyright transfer forms for the parts of the site I worked on.

pre-Mozilla Foundation (2003) -> worksforme Since all docs on mozilla.org are on, well, mozilla.org, and since there is no existing agreement precluding the ownership of contents on mozilla.org, it can be safely assumed that AOL/Netscape has implicitely granted mozilla.org ownership of their docs on mozilla.org. (Note the copyright line says "the Mozilla Organization", not "the Mozilla Foundation")
