This issue is mentioned in passing bug 33786 Mozilla does not appear to display visited links in a different colour in sidebar panels. If you view the URL above in the standard browser and follow a few links, they appear in purple rather than blue. If you add the page as a sidebar all links in the sidebar appear blue no matter how many times you click on them.
i think this is just an undocumented feature, the sidebar links are default colour black, not blue, which is probably why they dont change
I don't think that's the reason as custom sidebars are HTML documents and can be styled with CSS - the sidebar in question uses CSS to specify the link colour and the visited link colour, but only the link colour rule is observed by Mozila.
re comment 1 for bookmarks and history sidebar channel, links are in black (having them all in purple don't really make sense :p) but for other sidebar channel, all links are indeed in blue.
