Details
** Oobserved with 10/6/99 Win32 M11 build **
I have a message in my mailbox which is in HTML.
When I try to forward this message, the format is in
HTML even though my send option is for Plain text.
This is a regression from the M10 final candidate. (10/1/99)

This is for Forward inline only. Forward as attachment will never change the original message!
I am still reproducing the problem with today's build

I just clean up the code for forwarding messages. Now it use (almost) the same path that when you reply to
message. The remaining problem is to be able to set an Identity when we are doing draft (draft is used for
forwarding message inline). Rich, any Idea?

Weird. The format of the quoted inserted text should match that of the Editor.
Sounds like the identity is saying one thing and the editor something else.

for the editor type, I will take a look at it... But what about the signature? we need to add the signature at the end
of the forward message if the flag is on in the identity. Therefore, we need to save somewhere the identity that
goes with the message.

I'm not following you. The back end gets the "forwarded" data from libmime but
it is still responsible for inserting it and tacking on the signature.

I 've just spoke with rhp: OpenDraft need to carry an identity.

I have a fix. Now Forwarding inline a message create a compose window in the right format, with the right sender
and with the right signature. It also put the right sender and signature when creating a message from the
Addressbook.

Fixed and checked in.
QA, The fix affect every kind of compose window: New message, New Message from AB, New message from a Mailto
URL, reply/reply all, forward as attachment and forward inline, draft and template. Watch out the sender, the
format (plain text or HTML) and the signature. Draft and Template never add a signature, Mailto URL message add a
signature only if the body isn't defined into the url (mailto:qatest03@netscape.com?body=hello%20world).

This looks to be basically OK in the foward inline case.
Any problems found with the various windows/methods where compose is launched
from I'll log as separate issues.
There is a Format|plain text only bug mac only logged: see bug #35501.
