From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.1b) Gecko/20020724 BuildID: 2002072404 The last few Linux nightly builds I've seen have been subject to frequent crashes. I've not identified a common trigger, but it seems to occur after I initiate a 'back' operation sometimes. I'm on a stock RedHat 7.1 system, with Java(TM) Plug-in 1.4.0-b92, Shockwave Flash 5.0 r47, and RealPlayer(tm) 7.0 LiveConnect-Enabled Plug-In plugins installed. I'm running a talkback build, but talkback hasn't seemed to catch anything. I do see the following Gdk error message on console after the crash: Gdk-ERROR **: BadDrawable (invalid Pixmap or Window parameter) serial 341 error_code 9 request_code 147 minor_code 3 Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1.Run Linux 2002072404 2.Browse web 3.Wait for doom to betide Actual Results: A crash Expected Results: No crash

The crashing continues with Linux build 2002072408.. always error_code 9 request_code 147 minor_code 3 I'm still running a talkback build.. checking the talkback manager gui properly shows the number of times i've run this build (4 times since installing, 3 of which resulted in crashes), but is not in fact catching the crashes.

I've found a reliable sequence for crashing 2002072408 for me. If I start 2002072408, use a bookmark to go to the onion (http://www.theonion.com/), click on the 'Jacko on the Attacko' link, then go back, I crash out with this Gdk error. I was able to repeat this sequence three times straight, so it may be useful in chasing this down.

Another data point. Linux build 2002072104 does not exhibit this crash, so it's something in the last few days doing this.

Is this related to this bug? http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=40931

The sequence described in comment 3 also consistently crashes for me on linux build 2002072508.

I found that old BadDrawable bug, but it really doesn't match up. I'm running directly on XFree86, not on a resource limited X terminal, and bug 40931 is dealing with a different (set of) Gdk error codes.

Maybe this <a href="http://bonsai.mozilla.org/cvsquery.cgi?treeid=default&module=SeaMonkeyAll&branch=HEAD&branchtype=match&dir=&file=&filetype=match&who=&whotype=match&sortby=Date&hours=2&date=explicit&mindate=07%2F22%2F2002+20%3A45%3A00&maxdate=07%2F22%2F2002+20%3A46%3A00&cvsroot=%2Fcvsroot">checkin </a>...could this be related?

This looks to be a dupe of bug 152429. Both may have been caused by bug 139294. No talkback available when this crash happens, so we've no idea how much of a topcrash this may be. Happened to me when using accel-w to close the second to last tab.

yes, this is the same as bug 152429 as it is now (the The Onion page contains a flash animation inside an iframe). The bug only started with 7/22 builds, so the original report there is (almost certainly) different and WFM. But I only figured that out after quite a bit of hacking on that bug, so I'm marking this one a dupe. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 152429 ***
