At the above site I can consistenly reproduce the problem with build 2002091014. It appears that resizing the window helps - when the window is quite narrow, it no longer happens. When highliting the text, always all the text is visible. I'll add an screenshot attachment.

Well, it worked for me. Maybe they changed the page since 9/18 though? It's 10/1 right now. JOhn Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.2a) Gecko/20020910
No, still happens even with build 2002100411
I have seen this from time to time, but not for a while. Ralf, can you please try a recent build?
on http://www.la-grange.net/cms, I still get it with the 2002112304 build
The page appears to have changed, it no longer looks like the screendump. I could not reproduce the problem on mozilla 1.4.1
With Build 2004020708, I can reproduce it again: http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=27062 Sure, this time it is when stressing the browser/source-code viewer with very large form fields.
I can't reproduce this on Firefox (Build: 20041030, Linux). Can anyone reproduce this on more recent builds? Do we have a new test page given the changes in the existing one?

Tested the given page with Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041229 - no problems there. But as stated, the page in question has changed a lot since the bug report was filed. The related error reported I have sort of reproduced at http://www.cs.uit.no/~tobias/tmp/test.html - it is a ~222 KB html file containing one form with one regular text input with an insanely long default value. In my mozilla, the whole input appears as something unreadable, mostly black. It is possible to copy the text from it. I have my doubts this is related to the original bug (that wasn't a text field, was it?), but it's still a bug.
http://www.la-grange.net/cms WFM Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20060625 SeaMonkey/1.5a Please reopen if you still see the problem on a current version of the suite. (http://www.cs.uit.no/~tobias/tmp/test.html not reachable)
