Details

when mozilla is first installed, it automagically imports your IE bookmarks.  there should also be a way to do this on demand.
I don't have Windows here to verify this, but this question was answered
recently in the General forum on MozillaZine, http://www.mozillazine.org/ .

The instructions given there were: In IE export your favorites to a singe file.
 Then under Mozilla open Bookmarks -> Bookmarks Manager.  In the bookmarks
window, open Tools -> Import.  Choose the exported IE favorites file and they
should be reimported to your Mozilla bookmarks.
