User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de-AT; rv:1.1) Gecko/20020826
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de-AT; rv:1.1) Gecko/20020826
When opening Mozilla 1.1b, 1.1, in the taskbar are shown 2 Windows, one with the
title "NetscapeDispatchWnd" and a normal browser window. There opens no windows
if i click at the first one. First I thoght it's due to an update of an older
version. I uninstalled mozilla 1.1 completley, deleted all files still in my
installation partition and cleared the registry of all mozilla entries. After a
new installation the same thing happens. I never had a Netscape installation
anyway on my computer, always just the pure mozilla.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.start mozilla
2.
3.
Actual Results:
2 windows are shown in taskbar until i close mozilla
Expected Results:
shown 1 window in taskbar

Have you tried using a new profile?
As things change, old profiles (especially themes) tend to screw things up.
Uninstalling/deleting third party themes and deleting the "chrome" folder in
your profile directory (you did not delete *that*, did you?) might help. If not,
refer to bug 144027.
If this helps, please resolve this bug.
Thanks!

Oh yes I did delete all third party themes and even the chrome folder. When I
uninstalled mozilla, I deleted afterwards the whole mozilla folder and
addtionally have been deleting all relevant entries in the registry, but even
this could not solve the problem. After a new installation the same thing again.
When I had to install my Windows new last week, I installed the same mozilla 1.1
file without this problem.
Don't know what happend

But you haven't tried creating a new profile?
When you deleted the Mozilla folder and the registry entries (as you said you
did) you obviously forgot your profile folder - it is located elsewhere, for you
probably under "Dokumente und Einstellungen\[Username]\Anwendungsdaten\Mozilla".
THERE are the files that as I suspect were responsible for your problem.
However, after you re-installed Windows, this cannot be verified anymore. On the
other hand there is no more problem and other users do not seem to have this
problem (no CC's / comments). Therefore I propose you resolve this bug as
WORKSFORME or as a duplicate of bug 144027 - if you think they have the same reason.
Of course this bug can still be reopened in case somebody gets this problem again.
Thanks!
