Since I upgraded from Mozilla 1.0 to Mozilla 1.2a I am missing one of the best
little features of Mozilla:

There was always in Prefs -> advanced -> Scripts and Windows the "Allow webpages
to: Open a link in a new window" option.

Now it is called "Scripts and Plugins" and this option cannot be found anymore.
The "open unrequested windows" option blocks JavaScript, but not the
target="_blank" tag.

It is very confusing, because the Mozilla-help still explains the "Open a link
in a new window" function, even though it does not exist.

I should be very sad if this brilliant feature is not implemented any more.

Dupe of bug 78037 ?

BTW you can still turn this feature on by adding
user_pref("browser.block.target_new_window", true);
to your user.js or prefs.js
