174512 - Modified information not shown on graphics

All of red white and blue button graphics are png files.   I checked I am
sending the last modified headers, but the modified entry is not set on the view
page info function.

I can not tell if the cache is using the last modified headers to avoid down
loading the file again, the speed on dial up suggest that it is, but I am not sure.

So is the problem here that page info is showing the wrong info?  Where exactly
in page info are you looking?  Are you looking at the page info for the graphics
or for the page itself?

Lastly, what build are you using?

I show build date of 20020826 which is the current binary for Windows.

When I right click on the image, I can select view image.  This bring the image
up by itself.  I then select page info under view.  The modified entry shows as
not specifed.  I have checked it with other pages and I see the modified showing
as not specified.   

The modified line seems correct on HTML pages.  It only is a problem on images.
I think this may only be a problem with the display, I did some testing and the
caching seems to be operating properly.

To page info.  Not only is the date wrong, but the cache device is wrong --
images are cached in memory, but "disk" is listed as the cache device.  Still
happening with a current nightly.

Daniel, feel free to punt to cache if the problem is that you're being given a
bogus cache entry descriptor.

This is also broken for XHTML files, since lastModified isn't available in the
XHTML DOM (AFAIK). It shows "undefined". See:
