When starting a new browser session my homepage doesn't load. Some times it
does, some times it doesn't. If I load a second browser it never loads my home
page. I have click the home button to get it started. I have all the latest
Mozilla updates as of 22 Oct 2002.

Specifically, I think the following would be helpful:

1) What have you set as your home page? Please provide the exact URL as it's set
in preferences.

2) Does mozilla appear to be trying to load the URL at all, or does the window
just open without any delay?

3) What does mozilla display instead of the home page? Does it give any error
messages?

I have had this same problem with Mozilla 1.3 nightly builds on Windows 2000
sp3.  I deleted my profile directory and created a new one with the nightly
build from 01172003.  Just installed nightly build 01192003 and it still has the
problem.

My home page is set to  http://syntheticdimension.net/ as it always has been
(since Mozilla 1.0.0).  Opening the browser window seems to not even try to load
the page -- the throbber icon is not active or at least not long enough for me
to notice it being active.  Mozilla shows just a blank white page instead of my
specified homepage.

Also when I click the Home button on my personal toolbar it does not load my
homepage.  The throbber does not appear to be active at any time during this
test.  Further, typing in the full URL to my specified homepage has exactly the
same result.

My specified homepage loads in Opera 7 and in IE6 (usually) and loaded without
problems in Mozilla 1.2.1.  Many other sites load correctly in these Mozilla 1.3
nightly builds (such as www.ebay.com, mozilla.org and iwon.com).

One additional note here -- if I click the Home button 2 or 3 times quickly, it
sometimes will access and display my selected homepage, but so far with Mozilla
1.3 nightlies it never works the first time.

Reporter can you reproduce this bug with a newer build (1.4 final)?
If not, then please close this bug as worksforme. Thanks.
