several click to fold/unfold thread result in a mess.  I'll attach a screenshot.

Also, note in the screenshot that in the mail folder view, folders with new
mails are not displayed with bold font, even if they do contain new messages.

Mozilla 1.3 is very old...

Reporter, could you please retest with a newer version, either the latest
milestone or a recent nightly

The bug seems to have gone away in
