User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.3a) Gecko/20021212

When writing e-mail in Yahoo, occasionally a single line, or sometimes an entire
paragraph, will become highlighted and cannot be unhighlighted by clicking in
either the focused pane or outside of the pane. It can only be unhighlighted by
selecting the entire section (ctrl+A) and then clicking in the focused pane

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Compose an e-mail in Yahoo, writing at least a few lines or paragraphs
2. Click somewhere in the focused pane other than where your cursor is

Actual Results:
A single line, or entire paragraph becomes highlighted.

Expected Results:
Moved the cursor to the desired location withotu excess highlighting.
I've seen this too in MacOS.

I still see this quite a bit. (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US;
rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0)

Another (possibly separate?) bug is seen when mousing over a textarea that
doesn't have focus. The content inside the textarea will appear as if it's being
highlighted (although the element doesn't have focus and no mouse buttons are
being pressed). One must click in the textarea and re-highlight the falsely
highlighted text for it to return to its normal unhighlighted state (just as
mentioned in comment 0). These are very strange bugs that are intermittent, but
annoying nonetheless.

This bug deserves a bump onto someone's plate.

I'm seeing this happen with Gmail since Firefox 34 Beta.
