User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.2) Gecko/20021205 Debian/1.2.1-1.01 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.2) Gecko/20021205 Debian/1.2.1-1.01 Assume the user has the "Hide the tab bar when only one tab is open" option set to true. If a window does not contain a toolbar or a location bar, then the "tab bar" will not show up if the user tries to open multiple tabs in that window . A friend of mine stumbled upon this by hitting Ctrl-T while a popup was in focus, and the contents of the popup just vanished (because a new "blank" tab was loaded) and there was no indication that multiple tabs existed. The problem was compounded by bug#172556 because without the location bar or toolbar, hitting Ctrl-Tab or Ctrl-PgDn/PgUp doesn't work (at least I think bug#172556 is the problem) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. make sure the "Hide the tab bar when only one tab is open" option is set. 2. make sure javascript is enabled. 3. click the javascript URL submitted with the bug 4. make sure the newly created window has focus from your window manager (ie: mouse over it, click the title bar, ... whatever) 5. press "Ctrl-T" to create a new tab (alternately, right click on a link and select "Open Link in New Tab") Actual Results: A new tab was open, but there is no indication of the Tabs ... ie: the "tab bar" doesn't appear. Expected Results: the new tab should have opened but there should also be a tab bar listing the curent tabs I first saw this problem on a windows machine, but i don't have one to confirm it on now.
