From the bug entry form: Component The area where the problem occurs. To pick the right component, you could use the same one as similar bugs you found in your search, or read the full list of component descriptions if you need more help. "component descriptions" is linked. If you click on it, you get the page you're looking for.

Great, it appears that we are just in the transition, sometimes, I get the form you are referring to, sometimes, there is a shorter one without the link. If the one you are referring to is the newer one, great - resolved. Thx.

The text I quoted is off the long (guided) form. The short (advanced) form has the title for the Components listbox linked, just like it is on the show_bug form.

Dave, just trying to get smarter in my bug-posting. Looking at http://lxr.mozilla.org/mozilla/source/webtools/bugzilla/enter_bug.cgi where would I find how to force the form to be shown to me in the short/"advanced" form you mention?

if you're on your own system's Bugzilla, it should be the default when you go into enter_bug.cgi, after choosing the product. mozilla.org has it rigged (custom hack on their site, so it's not in the cvs source) so that you can't get to the advanced form unless you have canconfirm privs.
