!? This page doesn't even have pop-ups if you enable them...
WFM Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030210

The page does not contain any popups when I load it. I have not disabled popups...

click on http://www.open-files.com and you are redirected to
http://www.open-files.com/site/news/index0.htm and there is a popup :-(
I'm seeing it. I remember there is already a bug opened for this behaviour, but
I cannot find it for now.
Thanks fred, I was thinking I'm crasy :-)
The Preferences in my version of Mozilla (that is, 1.21) doesn't have a way to
block unwanted popup windows – apart from box to check/uncheck in the Advanced
section, allowing or disalowing unrequested windows.
I was looking for something referring to "popup" windows, and how to diallow
them, and there is nothing else anywhere in the preferences.
Is this how it is supposed to be?
I confirm this problem at www.nytimes.com. Popups come up even with suppression on.

Confirmed. Duplicate of bug 193872 (?) as that bug has a test case. The
window.open function is not getting blocked

WFM at http://www.open-files.com/site/news/index0.htm. I reloaded a few times.
Most times I didn't get anything, but a few times I got a blocked-popup icon.
(Phoenix 03/12, which uses the same pop-up logic as Mozilla.)
