I have a POP3 accounts at the german Webhoster "Strato" and also use their SMTP.
When I try to send a mail (mostly during reply or forward) Mozilla hang/run at
delivering mail until the "time out" occurs.
This problem is verified on different Computers and different Mozilla versions
(1.0 1.3b) with eComStation (OS/2) With Windows (same Computers, same Mozilla
preferences) or eCS (OS/2) and Netscape 4.x ore an other SMTP are no problems.
It's just the combination eCS (OS/2) with Mozilla and the SMTP post.strato.de.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.reply to mail
2.editst
3.send mail
Actual Results:
status: delivering mail and later, the time out with the message "sending
message failed. please verify...."

There's not much I can do with this.
There are no other users reporting such problems.
Please check on the newsgroup.

The SMTP from the Provider Strato use "authentification after POP" and it's
nessasary, that the MTU Size Value is set to 1492 (max.).
The current value can be verified with the command "netstat -n" and set with
"ifconfig LANxx mtu 1492" at the commandline or in the configfile of MPTS
(x:\mptn\bin\setup.cmd).
