197503 - GRE Installer forcing a reboot during install

When i upgraded from 1.0.2 to 1.3 it tells me i have to restart for 
installation to be complete, so i did, and it still gives me the error when i 
try opening mozilla. Yes i read another bug and there was a solution but what 
the hell is a .dif file gonna do? I have all my passwords stored on the browser 
and i have been waiting for this bug to be fixed. (i read the whole bug report 
and it had no explanation on what to do with the .dif file)

What _EXACT_ steps did you perform to install?  Which binary did you download? 
From where?

I Went to www.mozilla.org... saw the release on the front page and then clicked 
it, i then proceeded by clicking on the Windows version and downloaded it. I 
had mozilla 1.0.2 and this was the newest release (1.3)

Here are relevant bugs that are still being addressed.
  bug 193173 - Installer needs to detect running apps using GRE
  bug 190816 - Running process causes Installer to hang until process is
	       shut down via task manager
  bug 151532 - Delay system-tray icon until it is ready to accept
	       mouse-clicks

Don't worry about the dif file - those are diffs of the code to be checked in. 
You cannot apply it to your binary.

bug 190484 shifted the reboot message from within the GRE installer to the end
of the mozilla installer (is this correct comment #9 ?)  So my question is:  Are
you receiving the reboot message in teh middle of the installation, or at the
very end?

For now, it is advised that you shut down everything before running the 1.3
installer.  I believe the 1.4 installers have some of these items addressed.
