Dumb and silly to use kb for cache. Should use mb.

100mb sounds much better than 102,400.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
->Preferences

I assume you don't really mean "mb" but rather "MB".
(100mb sounds like 100 millibits...)

Never heard of millibits...
Summary: Edit>Preferences>Cache should use mb instead of kb → Edit>Preferences>Cache should use MB instead of KB
There are a few problems here, since users till now have been accustomed to set
the value in KB. If the unit of this pref now suddenly changed to MB, users who
formerly had 50000 KB set will find they have set cache size to 50 Gigabyte.
It would likely mean a performance hit as well.
-> cache - my understanding is this needs to stay in the FE component.
