Ok.. so this was a really stupid mistake on my part... Mozilla requires gtk 1.whatever, and I'd
only installed gtk+2.<don't remember off hand>... installed 1.whatever, and life was better.. the
only troubles from there were propagated from other places...
Call this one closed...
