Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win 9x 4.90; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030407 Build Identifier: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win 9x 4.90; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030407 Mozilla crashed while I was reading my email, and the message "Mozilla has caused an error in GKLAYOUT.DLL" popped up. This has happened twice in the past hour for me. I can jump into the Microsoft Visual Studio debugger if someone wants to work with me on this. I downloaded this mozilla build from nightly/2003-04-09-13-trunk/mozilla-win32-svg-libart-mathml.zip. The build-ID that appears in my Window Title Bar is Build ID: 2003040811. The build-ID according to the user-agent is: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win 9x 4.90; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030407 Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: I would have to go read email for a half-hour in order to reproduce the problem. Actual Results: Mozilla has caused an error in GKLAYOUT.DLL Expected Results: Continued letting me read mail peacefully. Configuration: Microsoft Windows ME, with all recent hotfixes. en-US locale. Hardware: AMD Duron 600, 196 MB Ram.
I'm seeing this problem as well in the 2003040909 Build on Windows 98. I can faithfully reproduce this bug by simply hitting the compose button in the email client. It crashes for me every time when I do that.
Also happens with OS/2 version of Mozilla 1.4b [Mozilla/5.0 (OS/2; U; Warp 4; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030509] Webpage that will cause crash: http://www.norlink.net/~rchand/photo/fireworks.htm 1. Click on thumbnail to view larger image. 2. Move mouse over larger image and close this window. 3. Crash occurs I believe this same error occured with 1.3a and 1.3b. Moz 1.3 works fine. This has the same behaviour as bug #193613 (Crashes when closing subwindow [@ nsEventStateManager::DispatchMouseEvent ]). Rob
