Details
OS: Windows Server 2003
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.2; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030427 Mozilla
Firebird/0.6
If I have Caps Lock on, Alt+D does not select the URLBar text. Turning the Caps
Lock off allows me to select the URLBar using Alt+d.
Will adding a new key binding change this, so the functionality of Alt+d is
consistent with or without the Caps Lock?
It's not a question of Using another shortcut key combination like Ctrl+L, it's
about the case sensitive nature of Alt+d - this seems to be the only shortcut
that is affected by the Caps Lock.
How can this be resolved...
I see no reason Alt-D shouldn't act the same as Alt-d. Why hasn't this bug been
confirmed?
well um...
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7a) Gecko/20040125
<caps> alt-d works
<caps> alt-shift-d works
is this a firebird bug? if so, why is it in the browser product?

This is a dupe of bug 242643, whose Bug# is greater but is more complete than
this one.
Depends on: 242643

Wrong bug, should be duped to bug 242643
(Note the 4 instead of 2)

I just noticed bug 242643 is actually a dupe of bug 178110, so 178110 should be
reopened, and both bug 242643 and bug 203993 should be marked dupes of bug
178110. I unfortunately have no permissions to do such things.

This bug IS NOT a dupe of bug 242623, which is a Thunderbird bug. It is a dupe
of bug 178110. Can someone who has permission make the appropriate change?
