20608 - [dogfood] 2nd account suddenly gone

Starting on yesterdays' build (12/1) and now today's my second IMAP account with
a different user name doesn't show up in my mail folders.  Yeseterday I rentered
the account and it worked fine until I quit and restarted.  It was gone again.
I looked at my prefs.js and the 2nd account is not in there.  Someone the prefs
are not committing.

807MB free disk space on one drive and 5+GB on my other drive.

Build 1999120208M12: NT4
All accounts are appearing on my system so I haven't been able to reproduce
the problem. Using the following scenarios I can view all accounts even
after closing and restarting:

1. Started with migrating one IMAP account, then adding a second IMAP account.
2. Launched using "mozilla -installer", created one IMAP account. During the
same session created a second IMAP account. Closed and restarted.
3. Started with migrating a POP account, then adding an IMAP account. Close and
restart and the IMAP account is still present. Then added a second IMAP account,
close and restart and all accounts are present (1 POP, 2 IMAP).
4. Launched using "mozilla -installer", created one POP account, then added one
IMAP account. To see the IMAP account I had to close and open Mail. Then added a
second IMAP account but had to close and open mail to view the second IMAP
account. Can see the first POP and two IMAP accounts.

I don't know if this makes any difference but I have one account on tintin and
one on judge.  The judge account is the one that disappeared.  The prefs for
that account are still in my prefs file.

ok, daver and I tried reproducing the steps outlined here - migrating his 4.x
prefs, etc.. .we even tried recreating another bug where his INBOX wouldn't
open. We were still able to create the new account and have it stick around.

We should reopen this if we see accounts start to disappear - I've heard people
mention that now and again, but nobody is every really sure if they caused it or
not, and it's never been reproducable.
