User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1) Build Identifier: ftp://unix.hensa.ac.uk/mirrors/ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/releases/mozilla1.4rc1/ WindowsXP was reinstalled on this machine over an existing installation. Mozilla was then re-installed using a install bundle that had worked properly previously. Launching Mozilla components from the Quick Launch shortcut, the Desktop or the Menu does not work. Attempting to run mozilla.exe from the command line returns the following message. '.' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Please note that the Program Files directory was indeed cleaned out after installing mozilla, so it isn't as if it contains a corrupt file after reinstallation of windows XP.
Reporter, are you still unable to get mozilla to run? Have you tried downloading a different build, installing to a different directory, or using the zipfile instead of installer?
As of 1.5 this appears to have been resolved.
