Would it not make sense to try to talk to them and distribute the two open-source software suites together? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:

I de-subbed from the mailing list because of the digest issues, so forgive if this has been discussed. Perhaps this should be changed to a general distribution bug or something of the like. OpenOffice is great, don't get me wrong, but my parents have never heard of it and won't be using it anytime soon -- but they have heard of mozilla believe it or not -- it gets press (not to say OpenOffice doesn't). Any kind of cross marketing that can be done (I was always annoyed that there wasn't a directory on the blankets of AOL discs out there that people could be directed to to install Netscape/Mozilla). That'd be pretty useful IMHO. From the Mozilla site we could easily point people to cd's of non-competing products if it was bundled and people who aren't on broadband and always hesitant to download something just might be more likely to install it. Course, there'd always be verioning issues, but that's another subject.

sent it back to general. Daniel: I'm using business development as a way to track things that can bring in money over the next 30 days. This is not one of those.

If someone could hack together an ISO with OOo and Mozilla for all platforms would be a nice place to start. OOo already have a ISO (recently updated) for all 1.1 versions (Win/Lin/Solaris - Mac still 1.0.3).

I think this has been done... http://mozoo.org/ Moz00.org packages Windows versions of OpenOffice.org + Mozilla. Also including: JVM, Flash/Shockewave players and SVG Viewer (adobe).

see also http://www.oooff.com
Still relevant?
- OO.org-issue closed in 2006, final OO.org-release: 2011
- Successor: Apache OpenOffice
- LibreOffice may be significantly more popular
- theopencd.org-project inactive
- mozoo.org is a login page to… someone's Synology?
- oooff.com redirects to an unrelated looking site
- CDs are still used enough for software distribution to keep this open?
