User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20021226 Debian/1.2.1-9 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20021226 Debian/1.2.1-9 When I use typeahead find and I type faster than Mozilla can find, it discards the first characters of the search. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Load http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/docs/api/index.html (contains lots of stuff to search through) 2. Type "zone" fast. Actual Results: Mozilla selected the "one" in AccessibleComponent, the "z" got lost. Expected Results: If you type "zone" slowly, you get a correct search result.
Reporter: Can you try this on a more recent build? (1.4final) Also try it with official builds from mozilla.org and not with debian packages. Close this bug as worksforme or make a report.
Switching to Mozilla 1.4 fixed the problem. Thanks.
