User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5b) Gecko/20030807
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5b) Gecko/20030807
The navigation on the XBox site is done entirely in Flash.
When I load the above URL, I can't see the whole Flash navigation. It is cut off
at the top, making the "search" box, "my account" and "sign in" links only
partly visible.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to the URL
2. Look at the navigation
Actual Results:
The navigation is cut off at the top
Expected Results:
Shown the whole Flash navigation

I see exactly the same with 2003080523/linux. Works with Konqueror using
identical Flash plugin.

This is a regression since it works fine in 1.4.

I have noticed one strange thing. If I right click the Flash animation, and then
choose "Zoom In", and then "Zoom Out", the Flash animation looks as it should.
I am attaching a picture on how the page looks when it has just loaded, and a
second picture on how the page looks when I've done what I just described above.

re comment #7 : IMO that is just a coincidence - the zoom out function does not
make smaller by the same amount as the zoom in makes larger - you can verify
this by simply doing zoom out again until it is no longer possible (or check
"show all") - and you will see the original, cut-off version again.

One thing more that I discovered:
In IE you can't zoom in or zoom out on the Flash navigation.
In Mozilla you can.
In IE you _can_ zoom in on other Flash animations on the page.
In Mozilla this is also possible.
Can this be a clue to why mozilla is showing the Flash file wrong?
Can you zoom in and out in Mozilla 1.4 on the Flash navigation?

Since XBox.com has made a major overhaul in its interface, this bug is no longer
possible to reproduce on that site.
Still, it is a bug and a regression, but I don't know what to do with this bug
now. Any suggestions?

http://www.sveabowlinghall.se/ shows a similar behaviour as this bug, but this
is actually reproducable in 1.4. If you load this URL in both IE and Mozilla you
will notice that you cannot see the menu items visible in IE, in Mozilla.

So is there _any_ way to reproduce this bug? If not, there's nothing that can
be done here, really...
The way to proceed with bugs like this is to make sure to attach all files
needed to reproduce the bug to the bug itself, so that if sites change the bug
can still be reproduced....

Well... the URL http://www.sveabowlinghall.se/indexframes.html shows a similar
error. A flash that is cut off, but this time it is on the bottom and not at the
top. And in this example you can't make the flash movie show its full content by
accessing items on the right click menu.
I don't know what to do with this bug but it's fine to close it if you want
since the original URL is not accessible anymore. Your call.

Kai, mind posting a screenshot of what
http://www.sveabowlinghall.se/indexframes.html should look like?

Nevermind, I figured it out.... The problem there is that the <h2> inside the
<blockquote> has its margins (which the site is apparently expecting it not to,
for some odd reason). That would be a separate (evangelism) bug.
Marking this bug worksforme.
