User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5b) Gecko/20030826 Mozilla Firebird/0.6.1+ Build Identifier: Mozilla Thunderbird 0.2a (20030820) After going from the 8/13 to the 8/20 nightly I have had several instances where Thunderbird will hang when I start it the first time of the day and there are large numbers of inbound e-mails. I have 2 IMAP accounts on different servers and they are both have Junk mail detection enabled and are set to move messages to a different IMAP folder if it is junk. One of the accounts also has serveral filters defined to label the incoming e-mails differently. What occured with the 8/20 nightly is that very often when both accounts had many unread messages at some point when I first conected the throber would indicate activity, there would be no network activity and I would be unable to open messages. This did not seem to occur with the 8/13 nightly and did not occur the first time I tried with the 8/26 nightly, but I was forced to stop running that due to crashes during spell checking so I really don;t know if 8.26 really fixed the problem. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
This problem does not appear to occur since upgrading to Mozilla Thunderbird 0.2a (20030826). If it does not happen agian in the next couple of days, I am going to close this as fixed.
Not sure what fixed it, but this problem only occured on the 20030820 build. Earlier builds did not exhibit this problem and subsequent builds do not either.
