For last two weeks i'm trying to create with my friends Firebird banners,
buttons, and other materials that can be used in Firebird promotion.
I asked my firends about their needs to do it. There was one anwser: logotypes,
color books and official documentation about using Mozilla signs.

I searched google, I asked on #mozilla... nothing. Mozilla has many, really many
artworks, splashscreens, icon sets and skins, but there is nothing like what i need.

Many companies (all i know) have something like this:

http://www.oblix.com/brand/logotype/ or this:
http://www.wawebsites.com/marketing/ms_cd_logo/body.htm otr this:
http://www.altima.fi/downloads/logotype.shtml

There is written what is a logo (and this logo in curves), what colors it can
use as a background, it's negative, specifications about printing, mixing with
other colors, resizing and many, many others which makes all advertising
materials identificating with one product. Where is something like this for
Mozilla? Why Mozilla's icon for MacOSX is different from Windows one? What
additional graphics can be used with logo and where it can be downloaded?

Even worse is with Firebird.
we have this http://phoenity.com/bird/ and this:
http://www.tradermike.net/images/mozillaForever48.png and this:
http://www.tradermike.net/images/mozilla_view.png and this:
https://www.quickbase.com/up/8aftfb4k/g/rbc/eg/va/phoenix2.gif and this:
http://komodo.nique.net/~grayrest/phoenixsecondtry.png and this:
http://iconpacks.mozdev.org/phoenix/ and this:
http://iconpacks.mozdev.org/installation.html#antimoz and this:
http://www.gnuarts.com/firebird/

We have http://www.mozilla.org/roadmap/branding.html but it's only about naming
rules. What can be called what, but nothing about grapical identification and
rules in it. I think it's highly needed because at now in almost each subversion
Mozilla has different icons, splashscreen and Firebird even logo. People like me
don't know if we should use urban graphics (like from 1.0) or no (new site is
totally different).
Someone should work out guidelines for graphical branding.

Firebird's artwork should only make use of the official red flames logo.
So should Thunderbird and Sunbird do. (Blue and yellow flames of cause.)

AppSuite's artwork should feature the lizard, not the "m". The lizard is more
recognized as "Mozilla" than the "m".
We have a graphic design team headed by Steven Garrity <steven at silverorange
dot com>, volunteers should write to him.

They will release official artwork soon.
