Changed Windows XP to all, since I have the same problem on Gentoo Linux.
OS: Windows XP → All
Someone with sufficient privilegies should probably change hardware to All, since it also appears on mac. It looks like the logo is completely missing: [husmusen:Contents/MacOS/chrome] magnus% pwd /Applications/Mozilla Firebird 0.71.app/Contents/MacOS/chrome [husmusen:Contents/MacOS/chrome] magnus% jar tf toolkit.jar | grep -i logo.gif [husmusen:Contents/MacOS/chrome] magnus% (it's not in any of the other jar files either)
I get nothing maybe someone should close this
I also get nothing. the about: page doesn't show a logo either, and the URL that the img tag in the source for the about page shows up nothing (chrome://browser/content/about.png) If you, for instance, go to about:logo from about, you'll continue to see an active about: page.
Re comment #5 and comment #6. This is because soon after I submitted this bug, about:icon was disabled in Firebird (now Firefox) so that it would not produce the error message. My guess is that the fact that they did not also close the bug means that the feature will be reinstated at some point so the bug remains open.
or, as is 95% likely, they didn't notice this bug among 800. If they wanted the feature to work, they'd have fixed it instead of disabling it. no longer valid due to feature removal.

I'm guessing this was disabled for the same reason that the logo for Firefox is not in CVS: They don't want people to be able to grab it. See: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=50907
