User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20030916
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20030916
When I try to submit a piece of text that contains an invisible character
(Alt+0160 in windows) from a textbox, Mozilla changes it to a space. Invisible
character and space are not the same thing, and there are reasons I am using the
character instead of a space. Mainly because in many forums extra spaces are
automatically removed, and if you want multiple spaces you have to use the
invisible character. Can you please fix this in a future build?
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to here:
http://www.ubbcentral.com/ubbthreads/postlist.php?Cat=&Board=testing (this is an
area to test UBB.threads)
2. Click the post link
3. Make sure Num Lock is on
4. Hold down the Alt key
5. Type 0160 in the number pad
6. Release the Alt key (an invisible character should appear if you did it
correctly)
7. Repeat steps 4-6 a few times (you cannot just copy and paste it)
8. Add a letter, or number, or something that will submit properly
9. Check the preview box and hit submit
Actual Results:
There will be no spaces before the text you inserted.
Expected Results:
There should be invisible characters in front of the text. To verify this, try
the same thing in Internet Explorer.
