Using build 1999121615m12 on mac when I click Get Msg and give password
sometimes it needs to be kicked to finish the process. This happens after I
have done a Get Msg on 1 account, then move to another account and try to Get
Msgs. Doesn't matter if it's pop or imap.
0. My profile has 1 migrated account w/news, added a pop, then IMAP, then
another News.
1. Launch Messenger
2. Select one of the Mail accounts, select Inbox and click Get Msg - give
password - messages load rather quickly
3. Select another Mail account, select Inbox and give password - Status bar has
Connect:Host contacted, sending login information... This will stay like this, I
found an action that can force it to finish...I select Navigator from the Tasks
menu, then the folders load and I can retrieve messages.
4. Repeat #3 for the last mail account, same results after you close Navigator
and then open it again.
I will investigate more tomorrow, just wanted to get this in tonight. I can
reproduce this on my system easily, but I would like to try on another MAC. I
had biff turned on for all three accounts, so I tried it with biff off on all
three, same results. Also note, changing folders and accounts while in the
stalled state does not help, only the workaround mentioned above.
Note: lisa tried this on her windows system, didn't have the problem. I need to
check linux too.
Using build 1999121710 m12 on my mac, I can still reproduce this. However, on
Peter's mac it's OK. I need to investigate more as this seems to be on my
system only right now. Will update after more investigation or if someone else
has the problem.

Reassign to esther until the steps to reproduce are worked out
Steps on systems other than mine will be found out on Monday 1-03-00 or this bug
will be resolved as worksforme.
OK, I've now reproduced this on Peter Mock's Mac too. This only happens when
you launch Messenger without Navigator, here is the scenario:
0. Have a profile with 2 mail accounts, mine had 1 IMAP and 1 POP.
1. Launch Messenger (do not have Navigator come up, just Messenger) and select
the profile with the 2 accounts
2. Select your IMAP account and give password, notice the status bar contacts
server and completes. Select a message to view in message pane
3. Select your POP account, mine had messages already retrieved so I selected
one to display in the message pane, now click Get Msg. Give Password, notice
the status bar has Connect:Host contacted, sending login information... This
will stay like this until you select Navigator from the Tasks menu, then the
folders load and I can retrieve new messages if there are any or the status
will now say no message found.
Does not happen on Win or linux.
Reassinging to Phil now that I can reproduce it on another Mac, with specific
steps. Phil please assign to the appropriate person.

Uisng build 2000020708m14 mozilla it still happens. Important to follow steps
to see this (especially not to have Navigator up when doing this). Come by my
cube I'll show you.

It happened on my debug build once. I wonder this has something to do with the
Mac events processing problem. If I hit control key everything start flowing
again. Simon or Chris any ideas?

Uisng build 2000-02-14-13 on Mac this doesn't happen anymore. It may have been
related to bug 26355 which is now fixed, just a guess. I want to try this again
with today's builds (one where I don't have mailnews start page disabled). I'll
update when I've tested again.
