User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; de-de) AppleWebKit/85.7 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/85.5
Build Identifier: Mozilla 1.5-rc1
Since version 1.5beta of Mozilla, the special IMAP folders like "#public/" are not visible or
accessable anymore. Also the latest version 1.5rc1 or any latest nightly build doesn't work. The
problem seems to exists since version 1.5beta since the alpha version from July 2003 seems to
work fine. Please note that also the latest Thunderbird build doesn't show up the "#public/"
directories anymore.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. generate a #public IMAP folder
2. load Mozilla 1.5 alpha and try to subscibe the #public folder -> works.
3. load up latest Mozilla 1.5-rc1 version and try the same -> doesn't work.
Actual Results:
In step 3 NO #public folder at all were visible.
Expected Results:
It should have showed up the whole #public or #ftp tree like earlier versions.

Build: 2003100804
WindowsXP
I have #backup folders, which show up, however they do not display properly.
The folder list needs to be refreshed first. Could this be related?

Sorry, but this bug is also persistent within the latest October 15th release.
With v1.5a the #public folders are visible, but as soon as I use a older release
the special IMAP folder vanish.

Same problem on
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031007
Can't see #public folders after upgrade to 1.5 in subscription list anymore.
Manual editing of .mailboxlist is not a workaround - #public or subscribed
folders in folder pane stay invisible.
Could not test the following: Update of a client with subscribed folders
_before_ update to 1.5. Could this make a difference?

Confirming. I have the same problem. I upgraded to 1.5 from 1.4 on Linux, and my
#public and #shared folders disappeared. It made me go back to 1.4.
The server is UW-IMAP 2001a, from a SuSE Linux 8.1 rpm.

please try today's build. I think I fixed this last night.

Hm, I just downloaded the current nightly build and the bug's still there. But
guess what - the "current" nightly build is 2003111005, so that's probably
before your fix. :-( Bug 219936 is at fault here, probably.

yes, that should be before my fix - at least, I hope so!
Ok, here I checked it with the MacOSX nightly build "2003111303" and it seems to
be fixed. Thanks. Now I only need an updated Pinstripe theme and I can use this
new version on a daily basis :)
Thanks for the fix...
