User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.5a) Gecko/20030728 Mozilla Firebird/0.6.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.5a) Gecko/20030728 Mozilla Firebird/0.6.1 You cannot see the browser scrollbar. There are no arrows, etc.. It looks like it is not painting properly. However, you can scroll. See the screenshot that I captured here: http://www.perroots.com/noscrollbar.tiff/ Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Using OSX, open any web page that can be scrolled (like this page) Actual Results: Scrollbar does not appear properly Expected Results: Scrollbars should be painted to screen

i've heard this problem can appear when using other themes. is this the case? do you never get scrollbars, or just under certain circumstances? (also, you should try to reproduce with a more recent build. there are 0.7 candidate builds from a few days ago.)
I always get this error. I have not changed the themes. I will try using the latest nightly build later and I will post back. Thanks.
I can confirm this behaviour with Firebird 0.7. This problem is releated to using themes. I have the same problem with using the BlueOrbit theme. After switching back to the standard Firebird theme, the scrollbar was available again
I am not using themes, and this still happens. I think that I used to have an older version of Firebird that used themes, but I haven't had that in a while. Anyway, I am not using themes with the latest version of Firebird and this problem still occurs.
I know this question gets asked a lot, but did you first delete your old profile from your Home directory (in Library/Phoenix/Profiles/) before starting Firebird? :)
I can confirm this bug. To reproduce it you must install a theme. This then leads to two other small bugs, the 'Mozilla Firebird' menu remains highlighted even after the theme has been installed and the proccess is complete and the scroll bar disapears altogether and the page is no longer scrollable at all (if you were on a page that was.) Bring up another page that is scrollable and you will not have scroll bars or arrows, just a white space there as if the page isn't scrollable, if you click the mouse in the region where you know the scroll bars should be then that region turns grey and you can drag the mouse up and down and scroll. This bug occured for me under both Jaguar and Panther on a Quicksilver G4. I tried switching to the standard theme and did not get my scroll bars back, but deleting the profiles does work for me. It occurs using both the blue and green orbit themes, I have not tried with others.
Wonder if it's a bug with the theme, then, rather than the browser.
It's a bug with the theme. There were some theme-breaking changes at the time that broke all existing themes, but no changes were made to differentiate between old themes and themes updated for the new build. See the original, invalid bug report of which this bug is a duplicate for more information. Of interest also is the likelihood that another such change will be happening with 0.8, so please make sure to clear your profile before installing new themes then, as well. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 216602 ***
