User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; Opera7.0; Windows 98) Build Identifier: This problem occurs since 1.5b -or maybe 1.5a, I can't remember well. Setting as your startup home page a tabs group doesn't work any more: at startup is shown only a blank page. Moreover if you set mozilla to load also messenger or composer in addition to a navigator window at startup, that navigator window is partially unusable: location bar doesn't work and bookmarks in the menu are initially not shown; they are shown after opening another window, opening the "bookmarks" tab in the sidebar, or the "manage bookmarks" window; still they don't work; but notice that the links in the sidebar or manage bookmarks do, and the mozilla throbber does too, even with an unusual delay. Subsequently opened navigator windows work fine. You may not give much importance to this bug, still notice that 1)it's a regression so maybe it won't be very hard to correct it, even before 1.5final (dreaming) 2)it's useful to set a tabs group as home page, I'm sure I'm not the only who did it so... 3)ok maybe there will not be so much users having set a group as the startup home page and open mail in addition to navigator at startup; but of those many could not notice that new windows works and file bothered bugs that location bar doesn't work any more and mozilla sucks. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open some tab and set the currecnt group as your home page (edit->preferences->navigator) 2. In preferences->appearance tick, in addition to that of navigator, the box of "mail & newsgroups", "composer" or both under "when mozilla starts up, open". You can also do this after trying with step 1 only. 3. Close mozilla and restart it. Actual Results: The navigator window which appeared (probably under the other application's window) is composed just by one blank tab. If you followed step 2, location bar doesn't work and under the bookmarks menu there seems to be no bookmark. Expected Results: The first navigator window should have loaded inside of it the tabs chosen as your home page. Bar, bookmark etc. should work correctly.

WFM using Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6b) Gecko/20031216 reporter: could you check that again using a curent build? try also creating a new profile, and setting a home page there; make sure your disk is not full, there are some problems with the user preferences in this case;

After installing several versions and making a change in my prefs, the bug doesn't occur any more either with moz 1.5 and old profiles. Anyhow profiles created on 1.6b and playing on 1.6b works always well.
