User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.5b) Gecko/20030907
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.5b) Gecko/20030907

Today, I wanted to get the latest nightly build and noticed that the directory
has an extra "mozilla" in its path.

Anyway, I connect by hand and got the message that more than 200 users are
exhausting the ftp.mozilla.org.

So far so good.
Thereafter, I finally could get the ~300K installer and wanted to execute it and
got "network problem encountered, download paused - please press resume once the
network is back " ...
My network is fine.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

Actual Results:
see above error message

Expected Results:
Most likely, the installer ran into the same problems as I did by hand.
Therefore my suggestions:
1) pass on the more informative error message obtained via the browser
2) suggest mirrors
3) add a interval-wakeup-resume feature
Bug 199349 is about installing XPI files, not the Mozilla Installer.
Product: Browser → Seamonkey

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
