User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.5b) Gecko/20030907 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.5b) Gecko/20030907 Today, I wanted to get the latest nightly build and noticed that the directory has an extra "mozilla" in its path. Anyway, I connect by hand and got the message that more than 200 users are exhausting the ftp.mozilla.org. So far so good. Thereafter, I finally could get the ~300K installer and wanted to execute it and got "network problem encountered, download paused - please press resume once the network is back " ... My network is fine. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Actual Results: see above error message Expected Results: Most likely, the installer ran into the same problems as I did by hand. Therefore my suggestions: 1) pass on the more informative error message obtained via the browser 2) suggest mirrors 3) add a interval-wakeup-resume feature
Bug 199349 is about installing XPI files, not the Mozilla Installer.
Product: Browser → Seamonkey
