there is no history either in the address field, or in the history manager.  i
am using redhat 9 with ximian desktop2.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.type in url
2.type in another url
3.type in the first url
Actual Results:  
The urls do not appear in the url dropdown field or in the brower history


Expected Results:  
should have kept a history of the sites i visited

i have deleted and recreated the profile - no change
i have delted the .mozilla directory  - no change

i have verified all browser settings are correct

can you check if you have a file called libembed_lite.so in a components/
directory? if so, please delete it together with compreg.dat in the same
directory and check if history works again

deleted both files - no change

a system reboot after deleting the files seems to have sorted it out.

Nothing in Mozilla was broken or fixed.  (Unless this deleted file keeps
reoccuring for more people, in which case this bug should be reopened.)
