1. Set your searchengine to something other than Google. 2. Exit Firebird. 3. Delete the searchplugin (like in installing a new build without copying the searchplugin). 4. Restart Firebird. Result: The searchbar is narrow, has no dropdown and no action at all. This is probably a regression from removing the pref browser.search.defaultengine. Workaround: 1. Exit Firebird. 2. Find "searchbarengine" in your localstore.rdf. Replace "engine://..." with "". 3. Restart Firebird.
Hm, it's older than I thought. This regressed somewhere between 10/21 and 10/26. I'll try to narrow the timeframe further.
uh, that's an edge case I briefly thought about then forgot.
-> fixed if the search engine is missing, then default to find in page.

Works fine, thanks! Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6a) Gecko/20031108 Firebird/0.7+ (Steffen)

Thanks for fixing this Pierre. Good that I weren't around. I would have marked this INVALID, because if you set a search engine and then delete it, it's no wonder that the search bar isn't working.
