224990 - search bar is unusuable if the specified searchplugin is not found

Description

1. Set your searchengine to something other than Google.
2. Exit Firebird.
3. Delete the searchplugin (like in installing a new build without copying the
searchplugin).
4. Restart Firebird.

Result: The searchbar is narrow, has no dropdown and no action at all.

This is probably a regression from removing the pref browser.search.defaultengine.

Workaround:
1. Exit Firebird.
2. Find "searchbarengine" in your localstore.rdf. Replace "engine://..." with "".
3. Restart Firebird.

Hm, it's older than I thought. This regressed somewhere between 10/21 and 10/26.
I'll try to narrow the timeframe further.

Thanks for fixing this Pierre. Good that I weren't around. I would have marked
this INVALID, because if you set a search engine and then delete it, it's no
wonder that the search bar isn't working.
