User-Agent:       Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.6b) Gecko/20031109 Firebird/0.7+
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.6b) Gecko/20031109 Firebird/0.7+

When searching Google (or any other search engine, except 'find in this page'),
the search results open in the same tab, when pressing alt+enter to search in a
new tab.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select a search engine (not Find in this Page), ie. Google in the Search toolbar
2. Type something to search for in the Search toolbar
3. Press Alt+Enter to do the search

Actual Results:
The search results display in the currently opened tab.

Expected Results:
Open a new tab with the search results.

I haven't tried much nightlies lately, but this definately worked in the 10-01
build. It is broken in (at least) 11-08 and 11-09.
Confirming on Windows and Linux. --> All/All. There is no confirmation on
Macintosh yet, but it's sufficiently high level that I think it's probably
broken on all platforms.

Pierre, this regressed between 10/21 and 10/26, so it's likely to be another
regression from your search.xml rewrite on 10/22.

Thanks Pierre. Works again with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US;
rv:1.6b) Gecko/20031112 Firebird/0.7+ (Steffen)
-> verified.

This looks to be broken again.  Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win 9x 4.90; en-US;
rv:1.7) Gecko/20040607 Firefox/0.8.0+. I don't know how long it has been broken. Also, can this functionality be made available BY DEFAULT through an about:config
 option, e.g. always open search results in a new tab?
This is fixed on Windows XP, but I think it is still broken on Windows ME. Can
anyone verify?
It regressed again for me on Win2000, trunk build Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U;
Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8a3) Gecko/20040819 Firefox/0.9.1+

Nevermind, it's a new tabbrowser extensions 'feature' to disable this
functionality by default. Sorry for bugspam.

It is still broken for me on Windows ME though. It does work in Windows XP. I
do not use Tabbrowser Extensions.
