The rendering on the page shrinks with each line till it gets to one-pixel tall
font. I talked to the webmaster and checked the source, but nothing seems
broken. I've seen that page a long ago with netscape, and it rendered fine. The
damn DOM viewer won't work here, so I can't give more details.
I'm using Debian's M12 build (it says ID 1999082316)
I'll try to attach a local copy of the page to the report, in case the webmaster
follows my recommendations and change it. I just hope mozilla will do it right.

The kind of pattern that causes this, looks like (with many variations):
<h5><li><P>
<h4> Information Sciences Institute
<P>(From US) Retrieve by RFC number within category. (This site also
hosts the RFC Editor Web pages that you are currently viewing).
<h5><li><P>
<h4> Information Sciences Institute
<P>(From US) Retrieve by RFC number within category. (This site also
hosts the RFC Editor Web pages that you are currently viewing).
... and each line is a fraction of the previous font-size, until, if you
repeat the above pattern in a file about 15 times (a degenerate case),
something blows up, the font size goes back to ~12pt, but the CPU pegs at
100%. (Gee, I didn't know I had fonts that could draw that small).
-- passing to (parser, rickg,cc:harishd) -- OS/CPU all (this must be Mac too,
I'm on WinNT)

By the way, I was on WinNT 1999122208. [I also note that the build ID for
cesarb@dcc.ufrj.br says 1999082316, but I know from another bug that that ID
is bogus, and it is apparently a current build).

Well it seems current to me... It's the Debian unstable packaged version, and on
the Debian version it says M12 =)
Fixed in my tree- awaiting a pleasant moment when I can check it in.
Have a nice day, citizen.

*spam* changing qa contact from nobody@mozilla.org to me (BlakeR1234@aol.com)
on 121 open or resolved (but not verified) bugs. sorry for the spam everybody,
but most of these bugs would just remain dormant and not checked by QA
otherwise. I'm not sure how so many bugs have nobody as their QA contact, but
I suspect this is the fault of some sort of bugzilla corruption that happened
at some point (most of these bugs are in the 20000-26000 range, and I don't see
where in the activity log that QA contact explicitly changed to
nobody@mozilla.org)
Anyways, sorry again for spam. If you really get annoyed, I'm usually
available in #mozilla on IRC for torture.
