Confirmed.
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.6b) Gecko/20031128 Firebird/0.7+
(daihard; XFT+GTK2; optimized for P4/SSE-2)
Since it has been observed since 2003-11-27, my suspicion is that it has
something to do with the new download manager.

OS->Linux since all reports in the forum thread were using Linux (except one
using MacOSX who can't download images at all), and neither comment 1 nor I
can't repro on Windows.

I'm seeing this on Windows XP too. This build (the current official testing
build) is tougher Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6b)
Gecko/20031128 Firebird/0.7+ it saved 6 images before it crashed.

All right, you have to save 4-6 images before the crash.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6b) Gecko/20031129
Firebird/0.7+ (Steffen)
Setting OS back to all.
Severity: normal → critical
Keywords: crash
OS: Linux → All
Summary: Firebird often crashes saving images to disk → Firebird crashes after saving some 4-6 images to disk

This is a regression from the new download manager Ben checked in 11/26/2003 16:54.

A workaround for this appears to be to uncheck the "Show Download manager window
when a download begins" box in Tools -> Options -> Downloads. At least I cannot
make it crash with this box unchecked.

Thanks for fixing this. And, indeed, thanks for the new download manager. File
Types are showing up again on the Tools> Options> Downloads panel. Thanks.
