22970 - [PP] Mac: setting Theme: provider's site link crashes browser

Description

occurred using 2000010308 comm build on MacOS 9.0.

1. go to Preferences > Appearance > Themes
2. in the Themes panel click the link to the Theme provider's site --in this case
it's http://www.mozilla.org.

result: a new browser window appears with the theme (as per the fix for bug
21017) --however, seamonkey freezes up and i'm unable to select anything (mouse
clicks ignored). got out of it via MacsBug.

expected: a new browser window appears with the theme, but shouldn't crash
seamonkey altogether.

i'll attach the stack trace soon...

Matt, should the "Theme" pref be available in beta 1?  My guess is yes, but slap
me if this is death to fix.

This is just a mockup.  The panel should not be regarded as real yet.

methinks this is dependent on bug 21838 --since features that aren't
implemented, which Themes sounds like here, with a just mockup. will verify this
once bug 21838 is fixed.

if there's only a mockup because it isn't implemented, i'd say pull this whole
thing out so as to avoid crashes for feature that shouldn't even be there [yet].
decided to reopen this...

don (dunno if this falls under your group), but do you have a preference either
way?
