Browser crashes

Expected Results:

Works correctly in IE
Works for me with 1.6b on Win2k.

Bob, could you please test with a more current version of Mozilla? 1.4 is pretty
old, many crash bugs have been fixed since then. Please report when you have
done so; if it still crashes, please make sure you installed into an empty
directory and also try with a new profile.
Thanks.

That linked page looks harmless, just some JavaScript. The soundclick home page
has a flash advertisement, maybe this is somehow plugin related.

Summary: Crashes when trying to access the login page. → Crashes when trying to access the login page.
WFM with Mozilla 1.5 on Windows 98 SP2:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20030925
Likely only a 1.4.x branch problem?
Keywords: crash
Version: Trunk → 1.4 Branch
Ok, I did the following - downloaded Mozilla 1.5 and installed in a different
directory. Tested with that and it was ok. Closed the browser, started up 1.4
and it crashed again.

Reinstalled 1.5 on top of 1.4, using my existing profile and it now works
without crashing. Note however, that it warns that the site certificate [server]
is not recognized - which may have a connection with the crash.

From my point of view, the problme is solved, thankyou.

Bob:
well, the proper resolution in this case is WorksForMe (because it is not known
what fixed this).
But this bug has now been marked as belonging to the 1.4 branch, so if it still
exists there it would make sense to leave it open to fix it for upcoming 1.4.x
releases.
But - again - I just downloaded and tested Mozilla 1.4 and could not reproduce
this, so maybe it is somehow specific to your configuration etc. and in this
case it would be ok to resolve it.

So I'm not sure what to do until other people test this with 1.4 builds...

clicked the URL, got three security alerts:
- certified by an unknown authority
- other domain
- going to secure site (normal)

I accepted, and the login page was loaded. I didn´t register, I didn´t login.
