Viewing "My Bugs" via link at base of bugzilla.mozilla.org should also show
"UNCONFIRMED" bugs...
All bugs when first posted are in an Unconfirmed status..
Hence they should also apear in this list.
I don't remember setting up this particualar Preset Querie, so I believe it is
possibly a default??
correct me If I'm wrong

Also It would be good to actually be able to remove one of these preset queries
completely...

You can turn off the My Bugs query... there's a setting for it in your user
preferences.

As for fixing the My Bugs default query to be more reasonable for end users
rather than developers, that's bug 30632.
