When a command is run, it is run from a view object (i.e. it's associated with a view). Once the command reaches dispatch (in the window scope) it then (upon finding it's unknown) dispatches the quote command to handle it. This is done in such a way the *current view* is then the associated view for the command, which can easily be incorrect when executing autoperform commands.
