Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040206 Firefox/0.8 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040206 Firefox/0.8 In the download window (Tools, Downloads), there is a large background picture of a folder with an arrow projecting into it from above. I don't know if this is just me or not, but every time I see it out of the corner of my eye it appears unfortunately similar appearance to an image of a fist with the middle finger raised. This is somewhat disconcerting. Not that I feel that Firefox is intentionally insulting me or attempting to provoke me. I also do not feel that I have a fixation with such an image that would cause me to interpret the picture in this manner. If the arrow were a significantly different shade of grey to the remainder of the folder, it would probably stand out enough when viewed through the corner of the eye so that the visual association would not happen. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open the download window (Tools, Downloads) 2. Make sure the download window is on one side of the screen. 3. Look at the other side of the screen and observe the download window with your peripheral vision Actual Results: The image in the download window appeared disconcertingly like a certain obscene gesture (cf. http://www.pst.org/pst-finger.jpg). Expected Results: The image should have resembled something innocuous. This bug occurs with the default theme in Firefox, but may not be present in other themes. It was observed on a 1.2GHz Duron with 384Mb RAM, running Windows 2000 Server.
