many news servers and clients supports long names of newsgroups, calles
descriptions. They often tell much more about the newsgroup than just a
newsgroups name. It would be nice for mozilla to support them.

they can be fetched from news server which supports it, by issuing command
"list newsgroups [mask]". note that some servers don't support mask, some even
descriptions :(

When user is trying to subscribe to some newsgroups, descriptions could help him
much if (s)he has to decide whether a newsgroup is interesting for him (her).
Searching the descriptions also could be interesting.
