User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040113 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040113 As a normal user i can't see some websites but i can load firefox ( i can see www.kernel.org for example ). As root it works... i don't know why Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Launch firefox at start page 2. 3.
I think you mean http://www.mozilla-europe.org/fr/products/firefox. So I updated the URL. Please try to replicate this bug with a current build. Is it still present?
I tried firefox 0.8 before the lastest version I found at http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-trunk/firefox-i686-linux-gtk2+xft.tar.gz firefox still exit abnormally but if I go to www.mandrakelinux.com it just blocks. I notice that it comes just before the end of downloading of the start page or other websites and I can stop to go to an other website ( like www.kernel.org ). I confirm that i works as a root user. Tell me if you want to know something more.
Are you using any 3rd party theme ? Is your profile clean ? As you're french, look at Pascal Chevrel FAQ. http://pascal.chevrel.free.fr/faqmoz.htm
I changed nothing ( i have not modified my profil ) but i downloaded the lastest beta version ( 2004/05/19 ) and it works !! I thinks it was javascript error ( according to warning messages i got ). ( thanks for faq but now it is : http://www.chevrel.org/fr/faq/index.html ) ;-)
