When I get get email targetted at several folks, I only see the first 3 or so. When I click on the "down triangle" to expand the list, the navigator begins progress towards a crash (it doesn't crash instantly... but I get garbage dialogs... and soon get locked up). When I try to reply to a message, only the visible set of targetts appear in the composed message, and hence I can't reply to the whole list. I'm guessing these bugs are related, and so I'm putting them together. IF they are separate, please file another bug for the reply-all problem.

Reassign to mscott, cc rhp
should mark this one a dup of that one. http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=24519 JF has it already assigned.

Reply / Reply All has no relation towards what recipients we are showing in the message pane. Jean-Francois already has a bug to track the fact that they aren't showing up in the compose window so let's leave his bug alone. Jar, I'm going to change your summary to say you crash when expanding the collapsed address view in the message pane by clicking the down triangle. I'm not crashing when I do this, but I will investigate. Do you still feel just this portion of the bug is a dogfood bug?
Mark works for me if it turns out not to be reproduceable. I for one would not trust the bug reporter. :)

I'm trying it in NT now (rather than 98), and seeing "strange" stuff... but no crash yet. When I get a message with a lot of folks on the To and on the CC line, I found that I can expand and contract the To line as many times as I wish. In contrast, I can expand and contract the CC line exactly once, and then it refuses to expand (as though there is no expansion). When I then select another message, than new message *starts* in expanded mode (getting state from the previously stuck message maybe??), but quickly gets into the "I won't do any more expansion" state after a single contraction. My guess is that this code is not completely right... and in the proper circumstances (Win 98??) I'll get a crash.... please don't shut this down yet, as I'm sure there is something lurking here (and having crashed a few times over the past few days... I'm betting it will be interesting)

Jar, the problem you are talking about with regards to expanding and then collapsing the cc line and then not being able to expand it again is a known problem I just haven't gotten around to fixing. I didn't think it was an M13 bug. However trying to expand it again certainly shouldn't crash. And if this is generating a crash on Win98 (it doesn't on win NT) then this sheds more importance to this bug IMHO. I have been negligent in filing a bug about the expand/collapse problem yet. I'd like to use this bug to track it and mark it as M14 pending more info from jar about whether it causes a crash on win95 or not.

This bug and Bug #24721 are the same. Although in this report Jar, documents that he crashes on Win98. The other bug doesn't mention that. I'll add a note to that bug. This bug is PDT+ and beta1, the other bug isn't. However, the explanation of the problem in the other bug is better. So I'm going to transfer the PDT+/beta1 stuff to Bug #24721 and re-assign it to Eric Vaughan who owns the problem. Jar, hopefully I'm not doing anything illegal by transferring the PDT status for the bug but it is the same problem. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 27721 ***
