RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 246789

People

(Reporter: orbplus2000, Assigned: bugzilla)

Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040514 Build Identifier: Firefox 0.9 release candidate for Mac OS X June 9, 2004 When I try to open Firefox, it keeps bobbing on the dock. The icon disappears, reappears, and keeps on doing so. I had to try force quitting it multiple times (running OS 10.3.4) until it finally worked. If I tried launching a second version of Firefox, the 2nd one says the profile is already in use, and the other one keeps bobbing. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. I'm going to call this a blocker due to the inability to launch the browser and because the process could cause a computer lock up.
After bug244304 fixes with a emergency measure, it has been reproducing until now.
This seems similar to bug 246789... are you running off a disc image?
Confirmed this is occuring when it is located in the Applications folder on the hard drive. The same type of behavior also occurs if I use it from a disk image.
